| Rhodes island in Greece is an island with an old historical
background. This picture does show me in the middle from 2 of the 3
historical windmills that can be found at the port of Rhodes city.
In 1990, when i visited Rhodes it was a
mess with traffic. The rules
where simple, who comes first with a road crossing goes also first. The
problem was that some people thought it was a racing island and i could
hear an ambulance every hour.
I did visit also the local hospital there for a little treatment
because my skin was a bit damaged by the sun but
after seeing a doctor who looked more like a mixture between catweazle
and a butcher (so many blood on his clothing) i decided to run like hell
and get out.
Greek food, well... in general it does taste good but i guess the hotel
where i was staying might need another cook. One day half of the guests of our
hotel did get sick after eating some meat. The next day they served
again meat that looked the same so i decided to throw it outside the
window to a couple of dogs who where near the hotel. The dog who did
actually eat the meat i never saw again.
For the rest Rhodes island is pure fun with the many topless girls at
the beach and a cold beer in one hand. What could a guy want more...
Also a trip to other places on the island like Trianta, Faliraki, Lindos,
Kritinia and Monolithos is easy on a motorcycle or car which you can
rent in Rhodes City. After each day at the beach it's time for the Rhodes City nightlife with
the many bars and restaurants where you can drink and have fun with the
many ladies who want the same....making fun.
