| I visited Hong Kong, the former British colony in Asia, in the year
2004.
It's the economic heart of Asia and this can also be noticed in
the many top
brand named businesses that are located here at the main shopping
districts.
It's also a city where western and Asian culture are mixed together
in a commercial area that never sleeps and who does not know the Hong
Kong Stock Exchange.
Hong Kong is probably also one of the most expensive areas to live in
because for an average apartment the rent is $18,000 per month. Hong Kong does also have a Madame Tussaud's world-famous wax museum
here which can be visited by taking one of the famous trams that have
been chugging along in Hong Kong since 1888.
Other places to visit are Cheung Chau or "long island" which is
famous for it's seafood, Lamma Island for it's natural beauty,
the Stanley Market for a shop till you drop experience
and the Hollywood Road & Cat Street
for it's well known Chinese antique stores, which are presently more
then 70 in numbers.
All brands of beer are available in Hong Kong and you will see the
billboards everywhere at the streets, which makes me thirsty already by just
looking at it.
For the test i can say about Hong Kong that it's better to be a snowman
then a duck because mostly when i saw a duck it was on a round plate.
Cheers,
Snowman. |
