| My visit to the beautiful Venice in Italy with his
famous gondola's i will never forget in my life. Racing through these
small canals i felt like James Bond in the movie "Moonwalker" but my
boat did not have a hidden self-propulsion system and a hovercraft
function.
More similarities with the movie are the nice Italian woman who asked my
name, and i said snowman....mister snowman and the way i drink martinis,
yep shaken, not stirred.
If your visiting Venice in February then you have a big chance to be
there with the well known Venice carnival parades, each year with a
specific theme. In the third week of July there is also the Venice
Redentore Festival which is a religious festival that will end with a
spectacular display of fireworks
That light up the skies over Venice for an hour or more.
Venice is also known for the Venice Historical Regatta, the
many museums and art galleries, and the nice Venetian restaurants with
typical Italian dishes.
Other things to do is visiting the San Marco Square, the main square of
the city with the beautiful Byzantine basilica of San Marco, the Jewish
Ghetto which has a long history starting in the year 1385.
Of course don't miss also the famous Italian ice-cream, one of my
favorites.
Cheers,
Snowman. |
